Anything in Return is a self-assured, adult album. Full of determined beats, it’s worlds away from our first introduction to Toro Y Moi, 2010’s chillwave hallmark-heavy Causers of This, and a quantifiably large step up from early works comp June 2009. Saturday, January 26, at 3pm, Silvio Wolf will give an artist talk and tour of his latest exhibition, Us, at Bruce Silverstein Gallery:
For the past twenty years, Wolf has explored the limits of photographic representation through an interest in the abstract, the fleeting, the visible and invisible, challenging the indexical nature of the photograph and questioning our notion of self. This installation, designed as a cohesive experience for the viewer, is comprised of the artist’s newest works—his first images to depict the human figure.
